Event Description

Giordano Dance Chicago returns to the Harris Theater with the long-anticipated world premiere of Autumn Eckman’s Retroverse, featuring an original score by Dan Myers. Scheduled to premiere in April 2020 and created in honor of Pamela Crutchfield, Retroverse explores the question, “What if we could pause time to reexamine our past and remind ourselves of the essential power of human-to-human interaction?” Joining the lineup is a world premiere from Joshua Blake Carter featuring the music of jazz/soul artist Laura Mvula. Coming back to the stage are repertory favorites: Roni Koresh’s confrontational EXit4, and Ray Leeper’s sultry Feelin’ Good Sweet, a delightful and joyous romp showcasing GDC’s exceptional dancers.
