Joel Hall Dancers & Center Youth Company, the pre-professional company affiliated with the iconic Joel Hall Dancers, will hold auditions for its 2023-2024 season on Saturday, August 26, from 3:30 - 5:30 PM at the Athenaeum Center for Thought & Culture in the Dance Chicago Studios on the third floor.
The Joel Hall Dancers Youth Company returns for another year, bringing together youth dancers from across Chicagoland under the co-artistic direction of Choreographer Van Collins and First Company Member Heather Zimny. Public performances will include the annual Flavors Festival of Youth Dance, produced by Joel Hall Dancers & Center Youth Company and set to take place in March 2024, as well as other events to be announced.
The Joel Hall Dancers Youth Company is a tuition-based auditioned program. Monthly tuition is $280 with financial aid available for those who qualify. Rehearsals take place at the Athenaeum in Lakeview. Interested students are encouraged to email JHDYC@joelhall.org to receive audition registration information and to submit materials to be considered for one of Chicago’s most visible youth dance companies.
