Overview

The Hamlin Park Theater (HPT) is an intimate, black-box theater located in a beautiful 1910 prairie-style fieldhouse in the heart of Chicago's vibrant Roscoe Village neighborhood.

The theater is operated as a community dance space by the Chicago Moving Company/CMC in partnership with the Chicago Park District, and hosts performances, workshops, classes, Artists-in-Residence, and more.  Contact the Chicago Moving Company for additional performance or rental information. 


 

 

 

Dance Classes

300+ classes/year for ages 18 months - seniors in Modern dance, yoga, Qi Gong, Tai Chi, Improvisation, Feldenkrais, more.  Full schedule at www.chicagomovingcompany.org

The JIM (Joy in Moving), annual 3-week summer dance project providing experiences 7 days week, 10 hours/day in movement technique, practice, improvisation, creation, somatics, and performance led by noted dance artists from Chicago and beyond.
