DASHING DECEMBER- $10 Improv/Music Theory for Tap Dancers with Mark Yonally

Event Type
Class
Event Description

This class is available to any level dancer. Dancers will learn the basics of music theory, especially as it applies to jazz music. Dancers will learn at least one jazz song per class, enabling them to compile a repertoire that they can draw from. Finally, at least 40 minutes of each class will be devoted to the development of the dancer's ability to improvise, or "spontaneously choreograph" tap dance, a skill increasingly necessary for professional dancers. There will occasionally be live music for this class.

Classes are only $10 all December long at Joel Hall Dancers & Center, let's dance!
