Event Description

Giordano Dance Chicago (GDC) presents a world premiere work created by beloved choreographer Peter Chu on the Harris Theater’s stage October 25 & 26. Chu adds his signature finesse with bold, liquid movement to the powerful GDC repertoire along with other works selected by masterful programmatic engineer, Artistic Director, Nan Giordano. Witness the return of “Can’t Take This Away” by Randy Duncan, a deeply moving and spiritual work featuring live vocals by the Bourné Family, find the light of hope with Marinda Davis’ “Flickers,” and enjoy Alberto Arias’ classically smooth “Surrender,” being pulled from the Company’s repertory vault after a 20-year hiatus.

Lauded as “one of our city’s foremost cultural treasures” by See Chicago Dance, GDC’s performances promise to astound even the most seasoned dance enthusiast. Join America’s original jazz dance company at the Harris Theater.
