Lighted Pathways is a collaboration between two Midwestern Christian dance groups. This one-day event will feature two Master Classes led by the Artistic Directors, Sarah L. Hannich of Tapestry Dance Company and Faye Tabor, of Joie de la Vie Dance Collective. Lighted Pathways also offers two chances at 3:00pm & 7:00pm to see the companies perform captivating work from their repertory on March 28th. These 2 concerts will be on Saturday, March 28th at 3:00pm and 7:00pm. These concerts will showcase the worshipful and innovative work as well as being family friendly for all to enjoy. "Rescue" Tapestry's newest work takes the audience to many moments of helping. The song repeats the lyrics "I hear your SOS" bringing about an understanding for the dancers and audiences that although we may feel lost or unseen that we are never alone. “Known” an audience-favorite tap piece by Joie de la Vie celebrates the joy of being fully known and fully loved and the freedom that comes with that security. Tapestry will also be debuting “Connexio” which reinforces that we are all part of something greater than ourselves and can create something more beautiful together than alone. This piece is a visually stunning piece with a large piece of material binding the dancers together. Meanwhile, “Dreamer” one of Joie de la Vie’s latest works, invites the audience to leave their fears behind and embrace hope and possibility that there are greater things to come than they could ever imagine or plan for. These concerts promise beauty, transparency & honesty through movement as each choreographer presents their thoughtful and intriguing work.
Tickets for this concert are $10 and are available on Brown Paper Tickets.
