The Seldoms invite outstanding dance artists to audition to join our critically-acclaimed, intensely collaborative ensemble. Candidates should have extensive training in modern/contemporary technique with readiness to experiment in other styles, adept in composition, and excellent performance skills. Candidates must be comfortable with speaking/acting. Our creative processes are lengthy; candidates should be interested in deep investigation of a subject matter, and willingness to sustain that interest over many months. Rehearsals are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons. Candidates must be able to participate in all rehearsals. Benefits include hourly rehearsal and performance pay, and regular training in company classes, as well as with guest teachers. Opportunities to perform in Chicago and tour nationally.
