BeMoved Dance is a dance experience for people of all movement abilities. During a one-hour BeMoved class, participants experience a well-being transformation. The Warm-Up infuses breath and movement through choreographed, artistic sequences that activate core strength and balance while improving flexibility and coordination. The Genre section of class uses continuous, engaging dance combinations to inspire anyone from first-time dancers to professionals. Finally, the Cool Down brings your workout full circle, leaving you balanced in mind, body and soul - feeling rejuvenated.
Each week focuses on a different musical and dance style (genre) such as Bollywood, swing, Broadway, Latin and disco. BeMoved is designed to inspire participants to embrace dance as a lifelong means to healh, joy and fulfillment. We believe that movement expressed through dance and music has a transformative power that enriches a person's wellbeing above and beyond the well-known physical fitness benefits. The Adult Open Division at The Joffrey Academy allows for students to drop-in to class as follows:
Single drop-in class: $15
College Student drop-in class: $12
10 Class Card: $140
College Student drop-in Class Card: $120
The Joffrey Academy of Dance is located on the third floor of the Joffrey Tower, Exelon Education Center at 10 East Randoph Street. These beautiful studios are located in the heart of Chicago's loop, near most major public transportaion, including the Chicago Transit Authority (Red, Brown, Green, Blue, Orange and Purple lines).
Parking is available in the InterPark Self-Parking lot at 20 East Randolph Street (corner of Randolph and Wabash). Parking validation is available at Reception and discounts parking to $16 for up to 10 hours. Pre-paid parking packs are available at Reception for $130 for 10 passes. These pre-paid passes are only eligible for parking after 3pm on weekdays and all day on weekends.
