Fall is a season of transition and we have had a big transition here at SeeChicagoDance.com. The original writing team of Sid Smith (dance critic at the Chicago Tribune since 1980) and Laura Molzahn (Performing and Visual Arts editor at the Chicago Reader since 1987) are taking the next big steps in their careers. After many years of dance coverage, Sid has decided to enjoy retirement and Laura is taking on his role at the Tribune. Congratulations and many thanks for the stellar coverage both have provided to the Chicago dance scene and SeeChicagoDance.com. I'm thrilled to be part of the new writing team as editor for SeeChicagoDance.com. Along with my fellow contributors Lynn Shapiro and Lauren Warnecke, we hope to bring you insightful previews, reviews and interest pieces throughout the Chicago dance season. Meet the new team here. Following in the footsteps of Sid and Laura is a daunting honor, but one we embrace with enthusiasm. One thing is certain - we have big shoes to fill.
