Choreography 101 for Teens

Event Type
Workshop
Event Description

Have you ever wanted to choreograph your own dance but didn't know where to start? Come to this workshop to learn some choreographic tools to create your own dances and ensemble based choreography! We will explore different ways to making movement such as inspiration from music and rhythmic structures; abstract concepts; gestural responses, and personal narrative stories. We'll work on solos, duets, and group dance making and then experiment with how to put them together to make a cohesive piece of choreography!
Please bring a notebook, music that inspires you to move, and comfortable clothing.
