Join the Kristina Isabelle Dance Company (KIDCO) in the hcl studio for the Mana Contemporary Chicago Spring Open House on Sunday, May 31 from 1 to 4 PM. KIDCO will share two work-in-progress pieces: And The Spirit Moved Me, a new piece looking at the life and work of modern dance master Sybil Shearer; and Isabelle, which explores nature and spirituality in movement with durational explorations and interactive feedback from the audience.
KIDCO will also share the latest stilt dance work with Angela Luem, Sarah Gonsoriowski and Katie Graves—pushing the physical body to new expressive heights.
The studio will be open from 1 to 4 PM, and you are welcome to come in at any time. Formal showings will occur at 1:45 PM, 2:30 PM and 3:15 PM. Interact up close with their process, tell them what you see in the movement, and get involved in the making of these two unique works.
