Free beatmaking workshop with Slot-A!

Barron “Slot-A” Bollar is a Michigan-raised/Chicago-based music producer and DJ and has been navigating Chicago’s nightlife and underground Hip Hop scene since 2004. He has produced for the likes of Add-2, Philmore Greene, Neak, Valid, The Black Opera and more before executive producing Jamila Wood’s 2019 Legacy! Legacy! During the pandemic, Slot-A got into photography, graphic design and online streaming which would later help him when he began booking and curating for Nights & Weekends and The Duplex in 2021. He is utilizing his skills, contacts and knowledge to bring unique programming to venues and creating promotion material for social media, all while holding residencies. In addition, he is curating a live music production event called Open Swim Chicago where producers bring their equipment to the center stage and perform never before heard beats at Emporium Arcade Bar in Chicago.
