As a dancer, Darrell Jones has worked with some of the best: Urban Bush Women, Bebe Miller, Min Tanaka, Ralph Lemon. As a choreographer, he reveals surprising moments of vulnerability, sexual intensity, and joy by blending voguing, contemporary dance, and contact improvisation. Winner of a 2013 Bessie Award for choreography, Jones takes the runway at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Ballroom with some of his long-time collaborators. Zachary Whittenburg of Hubbard Street Dance Chicago joins them for a discussion about the latest iteration of their work.
