Time to Dance (TTD), dedicated to enriching the health and quality of life for adults age 50+ through dance, is excited to host its first-ever Free Day of Dance at the North Shore School of Dance, 505 Laurel Ave., 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 14. On this day, guests will be able to enjoy 20-minute classes in each of four genres: ballet, modern, tap and dance fitness. Those with and without prior dance experience are welcome.

TTD’s Free Day of Dance will have a morning session (10 a.m.-12 noon) and afternoon session (1:30-3:30 p.m.). Each session will be preceded by a 30-minute orientation/check-in period, followed by four 20-minute classes with 10-minute transition times in between to rest, chat with fellow students, and grab water before moving onto the next genre. Following each session there will be light refreshments and an opportunity to chat with instructors and TTD staff.

Instructors for TTD’s Free Day of Dance will include Co-Founders Dr. Lynne Belsky (ballet) and Lisa Gold (modern) plus TTD Faculty Lorraine Chase (tap) and Penny Brichta (dance fitness).

Classes for TTD’s Free Day of Dance are free, however advance registration is requested. Walk-ins will be accommodated as capacity allows. Accommodation is available for those with health-related issues or who have physical limitations. Class participants should wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict movement. Footwear options include socks, ballet shoes or gym shoes. Registration is via EventBrite. For more information, visit time-to-dance.org.
