Jazz Dance Instructor (PT)
The Old Town School of Folk Music seeks an experienced and enthusiastic jazz dance instructor for adult and children's dance programs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Dance or related field preferred
Minimum of two years of teaching experience across various dance disciplines, catering to beginners through advanced levels
Proficient in Social Emotional Learning (SEL) based pedagogy and contemporary teaching methodologies
Strong choreography skills, technical proficiency, and a commitment to ensuring safe movement practices required
Expertise in at least three dance forms, including but not limited to musical theater, modern, ballet, tap, and/or hip hop required
Previous performance experience is helpful
Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with students and parents
Flexibility to teach at both our Lincoln Park and Armitage locations
Availability for evening and weekend (daytime) classes
Group class rate: $37/hour
