Located in Orland Park, IL Ballet 5:8’s company engages thousands of audience members in conversation of life and faith through innovative storytelling and breathtaking dance each season. Ballet 5:8’s, dance education center, School of the Arts, gives students from 50+ surrounding communities professional and high-quality dance education in an environment where students thrive.
Job Summary
The Marketing Director is responsible for driving the marketing behind Ballet 5:8’s performances, Ballet 5:8 School of the Arts, and development. The Marketing Director must be a visionary with the ability to implement well-defined marketing plans and strategies to grow and engage Ballet 5:8’s audiences, donors, and participants in the School of the Arts. The Marketing Director is also responsible for logistical aspects of Ballet 5:8 tours including managing schedules and accommodations, coordinating with local hosts, and building local launch teams for effective publicity distribution in each performing city. The Marketing Director travels with Ballet 5:8 while on tour. The Marketing Director reports to the Executive Director and manages Ballet 5:8’s part-time Social Media Associate and part-time Media Associate.
Qualifications

Full-time marketing experience (preferred)
-
Track record of increasing brand awareness, sales and consumer engagement.

Experience in Google suite including but not limited to Google Docs, Sheets, etc.

Working knowledge of Mailchimp or similar marketing email servers

Minimum 1-2 years experience working with social media advertising, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram and YouTube

Working knowledge of non-profit and/or arts organizations

Experience in event planning

Bachelor’s degree in communications or similar degree, or four years proven working experience in marketing, communications, sales, or publicity (required)
