School of Dance Manager

Under the guidance of the Director of Education & Community Partnership the School of Dance Manager is responsible for the implementation of program curriculum, program management and expansion for our School program. Tasks including but not limited to, recruitment, registration, student assessment tracking, parent/student communication, meeting/event management, generating and tracking program quality, as well as reporting status of tasks and meeting critical deadlines. Primary Responsibilities:

School Operations 
• Facilitates the student registration process. 
• Manages all communication channels associated with the School of Dance and creates efficient processes to provide clear information for its students and families. 
• Maintains School of Dance student records in the Organization’s Data Management System to ensure accessibility and confidentiality of all information for key stakeholders. 
• Provide student services coverage, covering while classes are in session covering all student needs, i.e. first aid, calls home, appointments with school staff. 
• Provide onsite support to School of Dance Faculty as needed. 
• Other duties as assigned.

Brand Excellence
• Works with the Director of Education & Community Partnerships to ensure the artistic vision for all School of Dance performances continues to align with the work of the professional company. 
• Provide key information for program evaluation to the Director of Education & Community Partnerships to determine program quality and alignment with the company’s mission and impact goals.

Event Coordination
• Manages the communication process to keep all stakeholders informed of important events, and deadlines to ensure a successful performance. (i.e., tech sheets for pieces, costume fees, supply and prop requests, etc.) 
• Manages Costume Ordering process for performances from selection, student measurement, ordering, and fittings leading up to the event. 
• Order and organize all necessary props and supplies needed for performance events. 
• Organizes and Manages Event staff including training and day of event assignments. Manage all communication with Academy families.

Program Growth and Sustainability
• Manage student recruitment process including the planning and execution of new student recruitment engagements and events. 
• Manage student retention systems to support successful student matriculation through the pre-professional program. 
• Track and Report status of School enrollment and revenue to Director of Education & Community Partnerships. 
• Collaborate with School Faculty to document and track student progress using student assessments.
• Supports the Director of Education & Community Partnerships and the Marketing Department in the implementation of School of Dance marketing strategies, including producing content for social media marketing, and other projects as assigned.
• Perform all data entry needed for School of Dance by indicated reporting due dates.

Staff Management
• Supports the Director of Education & Community Partnerships in the recruitment and onboarding of School of Dance Faculty. 
• Creates training materials and opportunities for Faculty around dance education best practices to increase positive student outcomes in alignment with the School of Dance Curriculum. 
• Directly supervises School of Dance Faculty
• Observes, evaluates, and coaches Faculty according to the responsibilities outlined in their Job Description and reports level of role alignment to the Director of Education & Community Partnerships. 
• Collaborates with the CEEP Program Manager to design and manage professional development opportunities for Department Teaching Staff. 

Discretion
The School of Dance Manager has a mid-level range of discretion and independent decision-making.

Supervisory Responsibilities 
The School of Dance Manager provides supervision of the School of Dance Faculty as it relates to their contract responsibilities within the School of Dance Program. Provides recommendations and insights to Director of Education & Community Partnerships in the hiring, firing and evaluation of School of Dance Faculty.

Relationships 
The School of Dance Manager works closely with the Director of Education & Community Partnerships, CEEP Program Manager, and School of Dance Faculty. 

Qualifications 
Bachelor’s Degree. Prior Arts Administration or dance education experience. Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, data entry, and project management software. Previous Office experience. Proficient in social media platforms. Evening and Saturday availability is required.

Work Schedule:
Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday – 1:30pm – 8:30pm and Saturday 9:00am – 5:00pm

Compensation: 
Salary: $30,000/yr.
